Collect 20 Quantum Essence
Quantum Essence is a distinctive resource obtained by defeating "Starborn" and "Guardian" enemies, which you encounter later in the story. Each time you defeat one of these enemies, you will receive 1 Quantum Essence. You can obtain a total of 10-15 Quantum Essences by completing main story missions.
To gather the remaining Quantum Essences, you will need to engage with temples. As part of the "Power from Beyond" questline, guardian enemies will spawn during specific events. This questline is initiated automatically after completing the main mission 5, "Into The Unknown."

What is Quantum Essence?
Quantum Essence is automatically gained upon defeating two formidable enemy types: "Starborn" and "Guardians". Both adversaries teleport into various locations and use stealth technology to become invisible, making them a thrilling challenge for players.
Encounters and Locations
Starborn:
- Encounters: Multiple times during the main storyline.
- Specific Mission: Abundant in “Main Mission 15: Unearthed” at the NASA base on Earth.
- Locations: Mostly spawn at the artifacts collected from mines/caves.
Guardians:
- Encounters: After each Temple from the “Power from Beyond” questline.
- Total Temples: 26 (24 with Guardians, each holding 1 Quantum Essence, the other 2 are story-related and don't have a Guardian).
Tracking Your Quantum Essence
After defeating these enemies, a prompt will appear in the top right of your screen notifying you of your gained Quantum Essence. To track your total:
- Navigate to
Menu > Powers(this option appears after unlocking the first story-related power). - Your Quantum Essence count is displayed in the bottom left.
Achieving the Quantum Essence Milestone
From the story alone, amassing 20 Quantum Essences is unlikely. Many players, including myself, reported obtaining around 12 during the story.
For the remainder, you need to complete the "Power from Beyond" questline, where you visit hte temples and defeat their Guardians.
Cumulative, not Simultaneous
You only need 20 Quantum Essences cumulatively, not simultaneously, for the achievement. So spending Quantum Essence will not prevent you from unlocking the achievement.
You can use Quantum Essence to temporarily enhance your power regeneration speed, allowing you to use powers more frequently and navigate difficult encounters with ease.
