Complete 30 Terminal or Misc. Missions
The description for this achievement is somewhat misleading as it also counts “Faction Missions” towards this achievement. Simply complete all Faction Missions for other mission-related achievements, and you’ll automatically earn this achievement in the process.
Guide to Unlocking "Privateer"
To achieve the "Privateer" achievement, you must complete 30 Misc Missions, Terminal Missions, or Faction Missions. (This achievement's description is a bit misleading as "Faction Missions" count towards this achievement as well.)
"Misc Missions" are shorter side quests, typically assigned by NPCs.
"Terminal Missions" are infinitely repeatable bounty hunts initiated from Mission Terminals found in major cities, often within pubs. For example, Akila City on the planet Akila in the Star System Cheyenne, houses a Mission Terminal inside the Freestar Collective pub.
You can ignore the "Terminal Missions" because if you complete 30+ Faction Quests, you will automatically unlock this achievement.
Missions can be tracked under Menu > Status > Mission > Side Quests.
