ResetAI
To target your character, use the command below:
player.ResetAI

This command reset an NPC's AI.

In-Depth Description

The resetAI command resets the AI of a particular NPC.

When this command is executed:

  • Non-hostile NPCs that have been antagonized (for example, if the player attacked them) will revert to a calm state.
  • In combat situations, enemies affected by this command will momentarily sheath their weapon, then redraw it. They will also need to reacquire their target, which may cause a brief pause in their attack pattern.

The resetAI command is beneficial for:

  • Conflict Resolution: If a player mistakenly provokes a non-hostile NPC, this command can help neutralize any unintended consequences, ensuring that important NPCs do not remain hostile.
  • Tactical Edge in Battle: For those finding themselves overwhelmed in combat, using this command provides a brief window to either reposition, heal, or strategize. Since enemies need to redraw their weapons and re-target, players can exploit this time to their advantage.
  • Rectifying AI Anomalies: Occasionally, game AI might behave erratically due to bugs, mod conflicts, or other in-game anomalies. The resetAI command can serve as a quick-fix solution in such scenarios.
